Brian Moreland

Meet Brian  . . . This Dallas Cowboy’s Fan is from Texas . . and of course he is a great Author that writes my favorite Genre (Horror) . On his blog Brian said his writing journey began over twenty years ago. What started with a few short stories . Then Brian decided to take up creative writing & along with  Screenplay at University of Texas in Austin. He was also lucky to attend a writing retreat in Rome with Authors ,John Saul, Terry Brooks, Dorothy Allison and  Elizabeth Engstrom Catty. Brian has also  took a course with Author Brian Keene and learned a great deal along side of him. Now I don’t know about anyone else ,but as a writer myself that is awesome!  Brian had also worked as a ghost writer for other Authors to . Both Fiction and Non-Fiction.

In Brian’s own words , he said his own fiction he envoy’s writing stories where realism crosses over into surrealism. That means Brian strived to write believable characters and that my monsters originate from some historical truth. Brian talks on his website about the struggles of a writer , when one first begins. I know as a writer that hasn’t finished my first piece of work . Getting a publisher is probably a living nightmare in the beginning! As he said it took a lot at first ,so Brian went with self publishing his first Novel (Shadows in the Mist) in which he say’s he had some unexpected successes with. With in weeks of self publishing it hit the best selling Mysteries and Thrillers list on Amazon. Brian also received a Gold Medal for Best Horror 2007 independent Publishers Award.
