If you like zombies and apocalyptic type reading . Then I am about to present to you a really great series.

Dead World By Joe Mckinney

Dead City (Dead World, #1)                                                     In the wake of five cataclysmic hurricanes, a deadly virus breaks out in Texas, returning the dead to life with an insatiable hunger for human flesh. Original .

Apocalypse of the Dead (Dead World, #2)

Two hellish years. That’s how long it’s been since the hurricanes flooded the Gulf Coast, & the dead rose up from the ruins. The cities were quarantined; the infected, contained. Any unlucky survivors were left to fend for themselves. One boatload of refugees manages to make it out alive – but one passenger carries the virus.

Flesh Eaters (Dead World, #3)

Battered by three devastating hurricanes in a row, the Texas coast is flattened. But for the people of Houston–and soon all of America–the most terrifying events are just beginning. . .

They Rise. . .

Out of the flooded streets of Houston, they emerge from plague-ridden waters. Dead. Rotting. Hungry. And as human survivors scramble to their rooftops for safety, the zombie hordes circle like sharks. The ultimate killing machines.

They Feed. . .

Houston is quarantined to halt the spread of the zombie plague. Anyone trying to escape is shot on sight–living and dead. Emergency Ops sergeant Eleanor Norton has her work cut out for her. Salvaging boats and gathering explosives, Eleanor and her team struggle to maintain order. But when civilization finally breaks down, the feeding frenzy begins.

They Multiply. . .

Biting, gnawing, feasting–but always craving more–the flesheaters increase their ranks every hour. With doomsday looming, Eleanor must focus on the people she loves–her husband and daughter–and a band of other survivors adrift in zombie-infested waters. If she can’t bring them into the quarantine zone, they’re all dead meat.

Mutated (Dead World, #4)

They outnumber the living 25 to 1. Those are the odds of being struck down – and resurrected – by the savage plague that’s sweeping the country, forcing survivors to band together against the dead. Even among the living, there is dissention. A new leader known as the Red Man has risen up and taken charge – and he’s nearly as dangerous as the hungry dead. Some, like Bob Richardson and his friends, strike out on their own. Because if the men with guns don’t get them, the zombies will. Fleeing the cities, Richardson and his crew find sanctuary in an abandoned farm. But their stronghold may not be strong enough. Something strange and terrifying is happening to the undead. They’re banding together. Working as a group. Hungering for a common goal: human flesh. And lots of it

Dead World Resurrection

A decade ago, if you’d walked into a bookstore looking for a zombie novel, you would have found only two: Brian Keene’s The Rising and Joe McKinney’s Dead City. Long recognized as one of the driving voices that launched the world’s fascination with the living dead, Joe McKinney’s Dead World novels have emerged as seminal works in the Horror genre.

Now, collected for the first time in Dead World Resurrection, are all of Joe McKinney’s zombie short stories. Here you’ll not only find tales that provide invaluable links between the various Dead World novels, such as “Ethical Solution,” “Dating in Dead World,” and the award-winning story “Survivors,” but also nightmare glimpses into other post-apocalyptic worlds told in the inimitable Joe McKinney fashion. From the bleak political satire of “State of the Union” to the historical vignettes of “Starvation Army” and “Paradise of the Living Dead,” this collection features the full range of McKinney’s horrific mastery of the living dead.

The zombie has grown up since Joe McKinney first penned Dead City, yet he has continued to stand out among the throng of voices telling tales of the undead. Dead World Resurrection shows why

Magic Breaks (Kate Daniels, #7)

No matter how much the paranormal politics of Atlanta change, one thing always remains the same: if there’s trouble, Kate Daniels will be in the middle of it…

As the mate of the Beast Lord, Curran, former mercenary Kate Daniels has more responsibilities than it seems possible to juggle. Not only is she still struggling to keep her investigative business afloat, she must now deal with the affairs of the pack, including preparing her people for attack from Roland, a cruel ancient being with god-like powers. Since Kate’s connection to Roland has come out into the open, no one is safe—especially those closest to Kate.

As Roland’s long shadow looms ever nearer, Kate is called to attend the Conclave, a gathering of the leaders from the various supernatural factions in Atlanta. When one of the Masters of the Dead is found murdered there, apparently at the hands of a shapeshifter, Kate is given only twenty-four hours to hunt down the killer. And this time, if she fails, she’ll find herself embroiled in a war which could destroy everything she holds dear

Dark Skye (Immortals After Dark #14)

In this highly anticipated fifteenth novel in the Immortals After Dark series, #1 New York Times bestselling author Kresley Cole spins a sultry tale of a mighty warrior scarred inside and out and the beguiling sorceress with the power to heal him—or vanquish him forever.

Eternal Obsession
As a boy, Thronos, prince of Skye Hall, loved Lanthe, a mischievous Sorceri girl who made him question everything about his Vrekener clan. But when the two got caught in the middle of their families’ war, tragedy struck, leaving Thronos and Lanthe bitter enemies. Though centuries have passed, nothing can cool his seething need for the beautiful enchantress who scarred his body—and left an even deeper impression on his soul.

Endless Yearning
Lanthe, a once-formidable sorceress struggling to reclaim her gifts, searches for love and acceptance with all the wrong immortal suitors. But she’s never forgotten Thronos, the magnificent silver-eyed boy who protected her until she was ripped from the shelter of his arms. One harrowing night changed everything between them. Now he’s a notorious warlord with a blood vendetta against Lanthe, hunting her relentlessly.

Can the heat of desire burn brighter than vengeance?
With their families locked in conflict and battles raging all around them, will Thronos and Lanthe succumb to the brutal chaos that threatens everything they cherish? Or will the fragile bond they formed so long ago spark a passion strong enough to withstand even the darkest doubts?

Having been ambushed in San Francisco, which is now fully engulfed in the zombie plague, Ashley and the wild cards must pursue the enemy to San Diego. There they will discover a splinter of their own organization, the Dolofónoi tou Zontanoús Nekroús, which seeks to weaponize the plague. But that isn’t the worst news. The plague has gone airborne, making it transferable without physical contract. It cannot be controlled by anyone, so reports of the zombie swarm are coming in from across the United States – and across the world.

For thirty years, they have avoided the outbreak of walking death that has consumed America’s heartland. They have secured a small compound near the ruins of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Isolated from the world. Immune to the horror. Blissfully unaware of what lies outside in the region known as the Dead Lands. Until now…

Led by a military vet who’s seen better days, the inexperienced offspring of the original survivors form a small expedition to explore the wastelands around them. A biologist, an anthropologist, a photographer, a salvage expert—all are hoping to build a new future from the rubble. Until all hell breaks loose…

The infected are still out there. Stalking. Feeding. Spreading like a virus. Wild animals roam the countryside, hunting prey. Small pockets of humanity hide in the shadows: some scared, some mad, all dangerous. This is the New World. If the explorers want it, they’ll have to take it. Dead or alive…

untitled

The three Beauchamp women–Joanna and her daughters Freya and Ingrid–live in North Hampton, out on the tip of Long Island. Their beautiful, mist-shrouded town seems almost stuck in time, and all three women lead seemingly quiet, uneventful existences. But they are harboring a mighty secret–they are powerful witches banned from using their magic. Joanna can resurrect people from the dead and heal the most serious of injuries. Ingrid, her bookish daughter, has the ability to predict the future and weave knots that can solve anything from infertility to infidelity. And finally, there’s Freya, the wild child, who has a charm or a potion that can cure most any heartache.

For centuries, all three women have been forced to suppress their abilities. But then Freya, who is about to get married to the wealthy and mysterious Bran Gardiner, finds that her increasingly complicated romantic life makes it more difficult than ever to hide her secret. Soon Ingrid and Joanna confront similar dilemmas, and the Beauchamp women realize they can no longer conceal their true selves. They unearth their wands from the attic, dust off their broomsticks, and begin casting spells on the townspeople. It all seems like a bit of good-natured, innocent magic, but then mysterious, violent attacks begin to plague the town. When a young girl disappears over the Fourth of July weekend, they realize it’s time to uncover who and what dark forces are working against them.

With a brand-new cast of characters, a fascinating and fresh world to discover, and a few surprise appearances from some of the Blue Blood fan favorites, this is a page-turning, deliciously fun, magical summer read fraught with love affairs, witchcraft, and an unforgettable battle between good and evil

But before the three can meet, Spencer is badly injured when he’s inexplicably attacked in Central Park—by a wolf.

                                                     Disarming (Reign of Blood #2)

????????????????????????????????????????

The world has changed. One must adapt to survive or hold on to the crumbling shards of humanity.

April continues to hold her fragile world together, but the ties that hold her family together are quickly unraveling. Rumors of a massive human underground settlement draw her to the shadows of the city once more in search of other survivors more like her, even with the hybrid vampires opposing her every move.

The darkness hides secrets along with the continued threat the Feral Vampires create, but a greater evil hides within the city. Something tells April that the humans will be less than welcoming of her, and that’s if she can find them before the Vampires do. Joining sides with the enemy might be the only choice she has left

star1star1star4

When I first found this series I was inlove with it , but unforutnitly my feelings have changed. Once Alexia Purdy came out with the very first of the series called Reign Of Blood Bk.1 . It was awesome ! But the 2nd book in the series changed it all up on me. I loved the whole appocalyotic vampire thing. It was actually a little frightning . In the Disarming it got weird towards the end and so I had to change my 5 star rating to a 3.

reignofblood

In a post-apocalyptic world, a viral epidemic has wiped out most of the earth’s population, leaving behind few humans but untold numbers of mutated vampires. April is a seventeen-year-old girl who lives in the remains of Las Vegas one year after the outbreak. She has become a ferocious vampire killer and after her family is abducted, she goes searching for them. What she finds is a new breed of vampire, unlike any she has seen before. Unsure of whom she can trust, she discovers that her view of the world is not as black and white as she once thought, and she’s willing to bend the rules to rescue her family. But in trying to save them, she may only succeed in bringing her fragile world crashing down around her.

Now there is the 3rd and 4th in the series . Even though I wasnt as crazy as the first one I will still give it a try .                                                 Amblified

Monster Monday is here ! It’s another work week we all must get thru , what’s better then a good book to get us threw.

  • EPIC APOCALYPSE 3.99

Welcome to the Apocalypse

Tis’ the season for all things that go bump in the night.  Today’s top selling horror authors bring to you this boxed set of six full length apocalyptic tales and a teaser from award winning author Joe McKinney.  Turn the lights off, enjoy the ride and find out what is lurking under your bed.

new

Mark Tufo – Zombie Fallout
“Working as both straight up survival fiction and comedy, Mark Tufo’s FALLOUT is a gory, laugh out loud tale of a community of heroes, cowards and misfits struggling against zombies. Tufo’s unlikely hero is one of the funniest and most endearing characters I’ve seen in zombie fiction.” – Craig DiLouie, author of TOOTH AND NAIL and THE INFECTION

Heath Stallcup – Return Of The Phoenix: Monster Squad
Stallcup’s debut is a fun, rollercoaster ride of a story, and easily the best that I’ve read all year. It’s part military fiction, part horror, with elements of fantasy and science fiction thrown in the mix. Yet somehow, this novel has the stark realism and well-researched detail you would expect to find in nonfiction. The author’s vivid characters and comfortable writing style left me believing in all the things that go bump in the night and more importantly, in the men and women who hunt them down! – Jaye H

John O’Brien – A New World: Chaos
Once I picked up this novel and began reading I could not put it down. The characters are well developed and the story is filled with edge-of-your-seat action. I dare you to pick up a copy and read it. – Troy D

Armand Rosamilia – Darlene Bobich: Zombie Killer
Upon finishing this book, I asked myself “What makes this one different from all the others I’ve read?”. I’m here to tell you just that. Armand is meticulously descriptive, his characters are colorful & he doesn’t fail to leave out any gory zombie details. His zombies are still creepily human, with desires beyond eating brains. Darlene is loveable, strong, & heroic, while being fragile & very female at the same time. I found myself holding my breath more than once, wondering what was waiting around the proverbial corner for our little band of survivors. The end is surprising, & leaves you craving more. A wonderful, entertaining read. I’m a fan for life!! – Susan M

Joe McKinney –  Dead Wait Teaser from Bram Stoker Award winning author
“One of those rare books that starts fast and never ever lets up. . . a rollercoaster ride of action, violence and zombie horror.” –Bram Stoker Award-winning author Jonathan Maberry on Dead City
“Gritty suspense. . .You’re gonna like this guy.” –Tom Monteleone
“A rising star on the horror scene.”–Fearnet.com

Shawn Chesser – Trudge: Surviving The Zombie Apocalypse
Author Shawn Chesser has written a zombie story full of scares, excitement, sadness and kick-butt action.  Unlike other authors, even some of the big names, Chesser understands female character as well as male.  This is such an important thing in a book with strong characters that are of both sex. I would recommend this book to all zombie fans, it’s a good one.  – examiner

James Cook- No Easy Hope:  Surviving The Dead
I absolutely adored this book! The storyline and the characters kept my interest and I couldn’t put it down! This has to be in the top five of my favorite zombie books so far. For those that love zombie stories this is a must read! – G. Atkinson
